Hollister New Image™ Soft Convex CeraPlus™ Skin Barrier – Tape, 13–51 mm (Cut-to-Fit), 70 mm Flange is designed to provide a secure and comfortable base for a two-piece ostomy pouching system. The soft convex design gently conforms to the area around the stoma and is intended to help improve the fit and support a reliable seal.

The CeraPlus™ skin barrier contains ceramide, which is designed to help support and protect the skin around the stoma. The cut-to-fit opening allows users to customize the barrier opening from 13 mm to 51 mm, helping achieve a close fit around different stoma sizes.

The 70 mm flange is designed for use with compatible Hollister New Image™ two-piece ostomy pouches. The tape border provides additional adhesive coverage around the skin barrier and helps secure the appliance during everyday activities.

How to Use

Before applying the barrier, gently remove the existing ostomy appliance and clean the skin around the stoma with warm water. Make sure the skin is completely clean and dry before application.

Measure the stoma using an appropriate stoma measuring guide. Since this barrier is cut-to-fit, carefully cut the opening between 13 mm and 51 mm to match the size and shape of the stoma. The opening should fit closely around the stoma without pressing against it.

Remove the protective backing from the skin barrier and carefully position the opening over the stoma. Gently press the barrier onto the skin, paying particular attention to the area immediately surrounding the stoma. Smooth the tape border and outer edges to help ensure good contact with the skin.

Once the barrier is securely positioned, attach a compatible Hollister New Image™ pouch to the 70 mm flange according to the manufacturer's instructions. Gently check the connection and surrounding seal before wearing.

During use, regularly check the barrier and the skin around the stoma. If you notice leakage, lifting edges, persistent redness, irritation, pain, or discomfort, consult an ostomy nurse or healthcare professional.
